When I first started writing about the Customer Service Disaster in America, my friends and family worried that I might eventually run out of content.
We’ve all received a bill in the mail and are greeted with a message such as,
“Credit Cards Accepted. A Convenience Fee of 5% applies to the total charge.”
“Call 1-800-SCREWYOUCUSTOMER” to pay by phone. Please note that there is a $10.75 convenience fee.
“You can mail a check in.”
What? Who are these Convenience Fees convenient for?
